With Kai Samiere, MS, RD · San Francisco & virtual

A shared foundation

Good nutrition starts long before game day.

An athlete may hear one thing online, another in the locker room, and something different at home. I help teams, clubs, and families build a shared understanding of fueling—so athletes have practical tools and the adults around them know how to help.

For youth athletes, the focus is on enough food, growth, recovery, and a positive relationship with eating. Sessions are tailored to the sport, age group, schedule, and questions your community brings.

Three ways to work together

Support that fits your season.

01 · Athlete workshops

Give your team a practical starting point.

Interactive nutrition education built around your athletes’ everyday routines, with time for questions and resources they can use afterward.

  • Fueling before and after practice
  • Hydration and recovery basics
  • Game-day and tournament planning
  • School-day meals and portable snacks

02 · Parent & coach education

Help the people behind the athlete.

Clear, useful guidance for the adults buying groceries, packing bags, planning travel, and shaping the team environment.

  • Meals and snacks for busy schedules
  • Supporting growing athletes
  • Talking about food and bodies with care
  • Sorting through nutrition and supplement claims

03 · Ongoing team support

Keep the conversation going.

A custom partnership that reinforces education throughout the season. We agree on the format, frequency, and support that make sense for your group.

  • A series of workshops or check-ins
  • Season-specific nutrition topics
  • Parent and coach Q&A sessions
  • Practical resources and follow-up education

Custom scope and pricing. One workshop, a parent session, or an ongoing partnership—we’ll build the proposal around your needs.

For parents

You don’t have to solve fueling alone.

Between school, practice, travel, and changing appetites, feeding a young athlete can feel complicated. We can work on realistic meals, snacks, and routines that fit your family.

Parents can inquire directly about education for their club or about individual nutrition support for their athlete. For minors, a parent or guardian is involved in arranging care.

For coaches & club leaders

Make nutrition part of your team culture.

Bring your questions, season calendar, and the challenges you’re seeing. I’ll help turn them into an education plan that athletes and families can put into practice.

Available for youth and club teams, school sports programs, endurance groups, and other athletic communities.

Meet your dietitian

Sports experience. Everyday practicality.

I’m Kai Samiere, a Registered Dietitian with a master’s in Health and Wellness Management and experience working with Stanford’s Sports Nutrition team. As an avid surfer, I care about how nutrition supports both performance and everyday life.

My approach connects evidence-based nutrition with realistic food choices, consistent habits, and an understanding of the people behind the sport.

The goal is to help athletes understand how to fuel themselves—and give families and coaches the confidence to support them.

Getting started

Tell me about your team.

1. Share the context.

Email your sport, athlete age range, group size, goals, location, and timing—or book a free 20-minute consultation to talk through what your team needs.

2. Build the scope.

I’ll recommend a format and provide a custom proposal with the content, delivery, and price.

3. Put it into practice.

We bring the education to your group, with clear takeaways and any follow-up agreed in your proposal.

Questions from teams & parents

Can parents and coaches book a consultation?

Yes. A free 20-minute consultation is an option to discuss your goals, ask questions, and explore the right type of support. For a tailored scope and quote, email your group’s details so I can review them before putting together a proposal.

Can you work with our sport and age group?

Yes—content is tailored to the group rather than using the same presentation for everyone. Include your sport, age range, and level of competition when you reach out so we can discuss the right fit.

Do parents and coaches need to attend?

We can design athlete-only education, a parent or coach session, or a combined event. For younger groups, involving the adults who support meals and schedules can help the ideas carry over at home.

Are sessions in person or virtual?

In-person support is available in San Francisco, and virtual sessions are an option for teams and families. Include your location and preferred format in your inquiry; logistics are confirmed in the proposal.

How much does team support cost?

Pricing depends on the format, preparation, group needs, frequency, and travel where applicable. Send a brief outline of your needs and I’ll provide a custom scope and quote.

Does this include individual plans or body composition testing?

Team workshops focus on shared education. Individual nutrition plans are arranged separately. DEXA scans, weigh-ins, and body composition targets are not part of the youth team offering.

Let’s build your team’s nutrition support

A stronger foundation for athletes and families.

Email is the best starting point for a tailored proposal: share your team or club name, sport, age group, approximate group size, preferred dates, and what you’d like help with. This gives me time to consider the scope and prepare pricing. Prefer to talk first? Coaches and parents are welcome to book a free 20-minute consultation.
