Your 90-day timeline
Start. Adjust. Review.
Start · Session 1
Build your plan
Complete your first DEXA scan before your 30-minute session. We discuss your goals, training, routine, and results. Your session comes with a full nutrition plan, personalized calorie and macro targets, and supporting resources.
Around day 45 · Session 2
Make it work for you
Use your 30-minute midpoint session to review what is working and what is getting in the way. We adjust your approach based on your food logs, training, routine, and feedback. No midpoint scan is required.
Around day 90 · Session 3
Review your progress
Complete your second scan before your final 30-minute session. We review the results in context, discuss your experience, and identify next steps you can take forward.
Between sessions, use chat for questions about your plan and share food logs for review. This is ongoing nutrition support, not continuous monitoring or an emergency service. Responses and reviews take place during business days.
Is this for you?
Ready to make changes. No perfect habits required.
A good fit if you want to…
- Connect everyday eating with training and recovery.
- Work on body composition with a personalized approach.
- Understand how to use calories and macros in real life.
- Practice between appointments and bring honest feedback.
- Have a starting plan, a midpoint adjustment, and a final review.
What participation looks like
Come to your sessions, try the agreed changes, share useful food logs, and tell me when something is not working. You do not need to be an elite athlete.
This package includes three appointments over 90 days. If you need weekly appointments, only want a one-time scan explanation, or need a different type of nutrition care, ask about fit before purchasing.

Clear answers before you commit
Program questions, answered.
Do I need a discovery call?
No. Review the details here and choose your scan option. If you have a specific question, email me without booking a sales call.
Is this for performance or body composition?
Both. We establish your priorities and build the nutrition plan around your training, body-composition goals, and starting point.
What is included after the first session?
A full nutrition plan with personalized calorie and macronutrient targets, practical next steps, and additional resources. Chat and food-log review support you between sessions.
How many appointments and scans are included?
Three nutrition sessions, 30 minutes each: after your starting scan, around day 45, and after your final scan around day 90. The $799 option includes two Custom Fit scans. With the $600 option, you arrange and pay for scans elsewhere.
Can I use a scan I already have?
Ask before purchasing so we can confirm whether it is suitable as your starting scan. Share the date and provider in your initial question; please do not attach sensitive health information to a general inquiry. Outside scans do not change the $600 nutrition-program fee.
How does between-session support work?
Use chat for questions about your plan and share food logs for review during your 90-day program. Feedback helps us spot practical changes between appointments. Responses and reviews take place during business days; support is not real-time or continuous monitoring.
How do scheduling and the 90 days work?
Your 90-day nutrition program begins with your first nutrition session, after your baseline scan. Schedule the midpoint around day 45 and final review around day 90. Arrange the follow-up scan before your final appointment. Scan scheduling and preparation are handled with your scan provider.
What happens after I choose a package?
Choose your option and pay through the secure checkout. After payment, email ksamiere@gmail.com with your name and order number so we can arrange onboarding, scan logistics, and your first nutrition appointment. Please do not include health reports in this email. Complete your baseline scan before session one. No discovery call is required.
How much does it cost? Is it a subscription?
The full program is $799 with two Custom Fit scans, or $600 if you arrange and pay for outside scans. Payment is upfront. This is a single 90-day package, not an automatically renewing subscription.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to move or cancel a nutrition appointment without losing the session. With less than 24 hours’ notice, or for a missed appointment, the session counts as used. If an emergency comes up, contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss an exception. Scan appointments follow the provider’s cancellation policy.
What if I cancel the program?
Before any service is delivered, you may cancel for a full refund. After services begin, contact me to cancel remaining services; completed sessions, delivered plan work, and support already provided are not refundable. Any refund for unused services or scans will be itemized before it is processed. If I cannot provide a remaining service, you will receive a refund for that unused portion.
Are specific results guaranteed?
No specific amount of fat loss, muscle gain, or performance improvement is guaranteed. You receive the sessions, plan, resources, and support described here. We review scan results alongside your goals and experience rather than treating one number as the whole story.

I’m Kai — the dietitian you didn’t know you needed.
I’m Kai Samiere, MS, RD—a registered dietitian, avid surfer, and lifelong learner based in San Francisco. My work brings together sports nutrition, body composition, sustainable behavior change, and practical meal planning.
I’ve worked with clients in Honolulu and San Francisco and directly with athletes at Stanford. My approach starts with your goals and the life you actually lead: how you train, what you enjoy eating, and what is realistic in your day.
In the 90-day program, DEXA gives us another source of information. The nutrition work is translating that information into a plan you can use, reviewing how it is going, and making adjustments together—with chat and food-log review between sessions.
I offer virtual nutrition sessions and in-person support in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley. My goal is to make nutrition easier to understand, so you can enjoy the foods you love while working toward your goals.
I Specialize in 1-on-1 Nutrition Support for:
-
DEXA, VO₂max, resting metabolic rate, and bloodwork together give you a clearer picture of your next decade than any annual physical will. For clients who want to know where they actually stand — visceral fat, cardiorespiratory fitness, lean mass reserve — we establish a baseline, build the nutrition around it, and track the trajectory. Available in San Francisco with in-person testing, or virtually with a provider near you.
-
If you've spent years tracking, restricting, and quietly bracing before every dinner reservation, more restriction is not the answer. My approach leads with adequacy: enough protein, enough food, and the lightest tracking that works for you — sometimes an app, sometimes photos, sometimes nothing at all. There are no good foods or bad foods here. If your relationship with food goes beyond what coaching should handle, I'll tell you honestly and help you find the right specialist.
-
Long sessions, cold water, unpredictable schedules, and almost nobody talking about fueling for any of it. Whether you're doing dawn patrol at Ocean Beach or paddling out of Ala Moana, the demands are real: sustained aerobic output, upper-body strength, and recovery between sessions. I surf too. We'll build something that survives a 5am and a truck-bed breakfast.
-
Evidence-based guidance on supplements, hydration, and travel nutrition—clearly focused on what’s worth using, what’s unnecessary, and practical strategies for staying consistent with nutrition and fluids when routines and time zones change.
-
Training for the SF Marathon, Ironman Kona, or the Honolulu Marathon and still bonking at mile 18? Most endurance athletes I meet are under-fueled, under-carbed, and chronically hangry. We build intake around your actual training load, fix the timing, and protect the lean mass you're burning through. Your VO₂max data tells us what you're spending. Your nutrition should account for it.
-
The number that surprises most men isn't their weight. It's their lean mass percentile. Muscle declines quietly starting in your 30s, and "eating pretty healthy" doesn't stop it. Protein-first coaching plus strength work reverses the trend — no carnivore diet, no fasting protocol, no supplement stack. If your doctor mentioned your labs and you've been meaning to do something about it, this is that.
-
Strength training and adequate protein do more for body composition in your 40s and 50s than any restriction plan will. DEXA also gives us your bone mineral density, which makes this one of the few nutrition programs where we can watch bone and muscle together over time. We eat enough. We lift. We measure. That's the plan.

He runs marathons and eats constantly. She gained weight trying to keep up. Same groceries, same dinner, wildly different needs. I coach partners together with individual targets and separate check-ins, built on one shared grocery framework — because the person you eat with every night has more influence on your nutrition than I ever will.
