Sports experience. Practical support.
I’m Kai Samiere, MS, RD. My experience working with Stanford’s Sports Nutrition team shaped my approach: turn nutrition science into everyday routines athletes can use. As a surfer, I also understand how food, training and recovery fit into a full life.

What working together looks like
A plan. Support. Room to adjust.
01 · Get to know your athlete
Start with real life
We review goals, food preferences, the training calendar and family routines in an initial virtual session.
02 · Put it into practice
Build a useful routine
Leave with personalized next steps for eating around school and sport, plus meal, snack and shopping support.
03 · Keep learning
Check in and adapt
Follow-up sessions, food-journal review and direct messaging help us adjust as schedules and needs change.
Parents help make the plan possible; athletes help shape it. We work toward useful habits and confidence around food. Calorie tracking and a DEXA scan are not requirements.

Questions parents ask
Does my child need to be an elite athlete?
No. Coaching can support youth, high school and club athletes across sports. We shape the approach around their age, goals and training demands. You can discuss fit before enrolling.
Can parents join the sessions?
Yes. A parent or guardian helps arrange care for minors and can participate. We make room for the athlete’s preferences and questions while helping the family support the plan at home.
Can we work together from Sacramento or Oʻahu?
Nutrition sessions are virtual. Share where your athlete will be located when you inquire so we can confirm availability and scheduling before you enroll. You do not need to travel to San Francisco for nutrition coaching.
Is this the same as the youth off-season program?
This is individual virtual nutrition coaching. The 12-week youth off-season program also includes in-person training with Elijah Lucy at Custom Fit in San Francisco. Families can choose the support that fits their location and goals.
Can you work with our whole team?
Yes. Explore team workshops, parent and coach education, and seasonal support. Team services receive a custom proposal based on the group and scope.
